Mahmudullah tests Covid-19 positive

Mahmudullah will miss his Pakistan Super League stint with Multan Sultans where he had been selected recently as a replacement of English all-rounder Moeen Ali

Bangladesh men's national team's  captain of T20 format, Mahmudullah has been tested Covid-19 positive. 

The right-handed middle order batsman is currently staying at his home and maintaining self-isolation.  

Mahmudullah will miss his Pakistan Super League stint with Multan Sultans where he had been selected recently as a replacement ofEnglish all-rounder Moeen Ali.

As the prerequisite of flying for Pakistan, the 34-year old cricketer underwent Covid-19 test and revealed about the existence of virus in his body. To double check he made another test but the result showed the same outcome.

Mahmudullah-led team emerged victorious in the recently concluded  BCB President’s Cup, where other two teams were led by Tamim Iqbal and Nazmul Hasan Sahnto, and the experienced all-rounder amassed 162 runs and bagged two wickets in five games.

BCB is planning to arrange a T20 tournament, named as Bangabandhu T20 Cup 2020, in late November where five teams will participate. The player draft of this competition will held this Thursday.

With positive Covid-19 result, Mahmudullah's participation in the upcoming Bangabandhu T20 Cup 2020 has become uncertain now.
